This series was a roller coaster of emotions, heartwarming and worthwhile! My heart melted after reading each book. As I finished one, I picked up the next one, spending long nights reading!

There's going to be a fourth book in the series (maybe more?), but right now there's only three out. So each book out now is about a different Fuentes brother (Alex, Carlos, and Luis) who all break the social norms of their city while trying to find love. The Westsiders (Mexican gangs) don't hang (or date) with the Northsiders (white, rich families). The odds are against them, but they find a way fight though it and get their happily ever after!

There would give you more of a synopsis, but let's face it. It's bad boy meets good girl and they fall in love even though they're not supposed to. Do you really need to know more than that? Think of every romance with star-crossed lovers and opposites attracting and you've got the gist of Perfect Chemistry and Rules of Attraction. Chain Reaction is another story and if you don't have the time to read all three, go read Chain Reaction. It's the best in my opinion. A problem with the first two is that they follow the same cookie-cutter plot with the same cookie-cutter characters. I mean, lots of romances of this variety follow the same plot, but these are companion books with a different brother each so it was kind of hard to ignore. If you're okay with that (and if you're a regular romance reader you probably already know what you're getting into) then read the series. It's a fun read. (Note: This is Ashley intruding on Justina's review and I just wanted to put my two cents in.)

(Back to Justina) I really loved this series because I was able to read about the main characters, Alex and Britanny, of the first book in the third book, even if they weren't in the spotlight. This allowed us to see what happens after the "falling in love part", unlike in other books where you kind of have to imagine it and assume it was "happily ever after" for the happy couple. Although, most contemporary romances do end in happily ever after, but it was nice to see the after part.

The books were also great because they were well written in both genders' perspective so readers were able to feel both main characters' emotions (and some may be yelling at the characters throughout the book because you know too much into each character's thoughts) but its all worth it in the end! Sometimes dual POVs don't work, but in this case, it did.

Overall, this series will probably be my favourite of the romance genre, but I may be just saying that because I read it so recently and my heart hasn't quite solidified yet.

I recommend this trilogy to anyone who loves romance (especially fans of West Side Story) and those interested in reading about a couple's life a little bit after the typical happily ever after.

Enjoy!
